How can PP sealing film protect the jelly to keep it fresh?

The taste and freshness of jelly are the two magic weapons that attract consumers. In terms of taste, jelly needs to achieve a certain elasticity and smoothness, neither too soft nor too stiff, so that it can bring a pleasant touch when chewing. The freshness is reflected in the color, flavor and overall texture of the jelly. Fresh jelly has bright color, pure flavor, delicate taste, and can stimulate people's appetite and taste buds. However, it is not easy to maintain these qualities of jelly, especially during storage and transportation, when jelly is easily affected by air oxidation and moisture penetration, resulting in quality degradation.

The reason why PP sealing film can play a key role in jelly packaging is primarily due to its excellent sealing performance. This material is specially processed to form a tight fit when in contact with the mouth of the jelly cup, effectively isolating the outside air and moisture. Air oxidation can cause oxidation reactions of fat and sugar in jelly, resulting in unpleasant flavors and color changes; while moisture penetration may make jelly too soft or lose its original elasticity. PP sealing film creates a relatively closed storage environment for jelly through its tight sealing technology, avoiding the occurrence of these adverse factors.

The sealing performance of PP sealing film is not only reflected in isolating external interference, but also in its ability to maintain the texture, color and flavor of jelly. During storage, the texture of jelly is easily affected by temperature and humidity. Too high temperature will make jelly soft and lose elasticity; while too low humidity may cause the surface of jelly to dry and affect the taste. PP sealing film provides a suitable storage environment for jelly through its stable sealing effect, so that the texture of jelly can remain stable during storage.

In terms of color, the pigment in jelly is easily affected by light and oxygen and fades or changes color. PP sealing film can not only isolate air and reduce oxygen damage to pigments, but also block ultraviolet radiation to prevent jelly from fading due to light. This allows consumers to still see bright colors when tasting jelly and enhance appetite.

In terms of flavor, the aroma components in jelly are easy to volatilize and oxidize, resulting in weakened flavor or odor. PP sealing film reduces the volatilization and oxidation of flavor components through its tight sealing effect, and maintains the original flavor of jelly. This allows consumers to still feel the purity and deliciousness of jelly when tasting it.

With the advancement of technology and the changing needs of consumers, PP sealing film is also constantly innovating and developing. On the one hand, manufacturers have improved the sealing performance and preservation effect of PP sealing film by improving production processes and adding special additives. For example, PP sealing film produced by multi-layer co-extrusion technology has better barrier and heat sealing properties; adding antioxidants, anti-ultraviolet agents and other additives can further improve the antioxidant and anti-aging capabilities of PP sealing film.

On the other hand, jelly cup PP sealing film is also developing in the direction of environmental protection and degradability. Although traditional PP sealing film has excellent performance, it is not easy to degrade and has caused a certain burden on the environment. Therefore, manufacturers began to develop degradable PP sealing film, such as PLA (polylactic acid)-based PP sealing film, starch-based PP sealing film, etc. These degradable PP sealing films not only maintain their original performance, but can also degrade quickly in the natural environment, reducing pollution to the environment.
